Tokyo - Part 1
Finally upgraded to a full-frame! A Canon 6D - and what better place to "baptize" it than taking it to JAPAN!
Ah...my first journey to Japan. I've always wanted to experience Tokyo and so I made sure to explore the city as much as possible. I felt it would be better to save other locations like Kyoto or Okinawa for another trip. As the trip approached I started to realize more and more how massive Tokyo is; people told me beforehand "you only need a couple days in Tokyo, you should check out other places" -- that's not true, you could easily spend a few weeks just exploring Tokyo. I definitely made the right decision. I stayed at a new Tokyu Stay hotel in Ginza which was great because it was near the Higashi-Ginza line, making it relatively easy to get around. In hindsight I would have chosen to stay in Shibuya just for the nightlife opportunities.
Places I visited in Tokyo include Akihabara, Asakusa, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Hibiya, Shibuya (Famous Hachiko Crossing!), Kabuki, Ikebukouro, Oshiage(Sky Tree!), Daiba (Gundam!), Urayasu (Tokyo Disney Sea!), the infamous Tsukiji (Fish Market!), and many other places I can't remember between stops.
To be continued...
