One day my coworker asked me if I wanted to go to Yosemite - I said "heck yeah I want to go!" A few months later we were able to reserve the very-difficult-to-reserve tents in Hetch Hetchy Valley. We were lucky! We stayed there a few days, taking hikes to the different waterfalls, and driving to the infamous Tunnel View and Glacier Point. Towards the end of the trip we made it down to the Redwood Forest which was spectacular - just wish we had more time to do more of the trail. In the following days we drove up from Yosemite National Park through Tioga Pass, Lake Mono, all the way around Lake Tahoe, and back to San Francisco. I've reserved this post specifically for the Yosemite portion of the trip.
